BEING A CELEBRITY means being hounded by paparazzi wherever you go – but this new invention is allowing them to choose when they want to be seen.

The ISHU scarf acts as a sort of cloaking device against the paparazzi - Buzzfeed reports that the scarf is made of fabric that reflects light back into the camera, making flash photography useless.

Sort of like a stylish high-viz jacket.

It was invented by Saif Siddiqui, who says he wants to make people aware of how important privacy is.

“With the ISHU scarf, people are back in control of their privacy,” he said.

A number of celebrities have already taken to the scarf, including Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton, and our own Laura Whitmore:

Siddiqui also plans to release a phone case with similar technology, and wants to roll out the product in “private jets and museums”.

This is basically the closest thing to Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak we’ve seen so far. Shouldn’t be long now…
